Biography

Dr. Carmina Vidal (Carmen), MD PhD, is an attending gynecologist and reproductive surgeon at the Instituto Valenciano de Infertilidad, Valencia and clinical researcher at the INCLIVA Institute.

She completed her medical school education at the University of Valencia and did his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Hospital Universitario Sant Joan de Reus, Catalonia, from 1995 to 1998. She completed her Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship training at IVI Valencia in 1998 and joined the team where serves as a specialist in human reproduction and high complexity assisted reproductive techniques, and as a surgeon specialized in endoscopic surgery.

She has been working as a specialist in Human Reproduction and Obstetrics and conducting research activities in Instituto Valenciano de Infertilidad, Valencia since 1999. She obtained her Ph.D. with Cum Laudem qualification in 2002 at the University of Valencia and a Master’s degree in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgery, also in Valencia, 2004-2005. She also obtained the European Certificate of Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgery in Clermont Ferrand in 2005 and the ESHRE Certification for Reproductive Endoscopic Surgeons in 2017.

She has been involved in teaching postgraduate courses since 2001; Master’s Degree in endoscopic Surgery, Master’s Degree in Biotechnology of Assisted Human Reproduction (former doctorate degree of the Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department of University of Valencia School of Medicine) and Master’s Degree in Reproduction European University of Madrid.

She has published 11 original articles in international journals, and had 66 oral/poster presentations in international and national scientific meetings.
Dr. Vidal is Member of the Research Committee of the Instituto Valenciano de Infertilidad. He also serves as Ad Hoc Reviewer for the Fertility & Sterility, Human Reproduction, Reproductive BioMedicine Online and Current women´s health reviews.
