María Cerrillo, M.D., Ph.D.

Biografía

Dr. Cerrillo is a full-time Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility specialist at IVI Madrid. She obtained her Medical degree in Surgery and Medicine at the University of Miguel Hernandez de elche (Alicante) in 2001, completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in General Hospital of Albacete between 2002-2006, and obtained her doctorate degree “cum laude” in 2010 in the Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department of the University of Rey Juan Carlos I (URJC). In addition, she obtained a Master’s degree in Reproductive Medicine in 2011 of URJC.

As a researcher, her main focus is the study of the stimulation protocols and the ovarian hyperstimulation sydrome, implantation process, and poor reponders.
Dr Cerrillo has published over 10 original “peer review” articles in leading reproductive journals (Hum Reprod, Fertil & Steril, etc.) and wrote 15 book chapters on the reproductive medicine, ultrasound in infertility and guidelines or protocols in reproduction. She has also participated as an investigator in competitive projects and is member of IdiPAZ since 2017

Dr. Cerrillo has been involved in teaching in Medicine career since 2004 in Castilla la Mancha University, imparting seminars in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Presently, she lectures in obstetrics and gynacology in URJC since 2009, and as part of the Master’s Degree in Human Reproduction (Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department of University of Rey Juan Carlos) faculty. In addition, she participates in teaching of Expert nurse in medicine-reproduction course at URJC since 2007, and in a Master’s degree Program of European University since 2016.
