Células madre
La capacidad regenerativa de las células madre hace que sean una opción fascinante para tratar diversas patologías asociadas con la infertilidad.
El equipo científico de IVIRMA Global ha lanzado varios estudios en diferentes campos de la reproducción gracias al uso de células madre. Los primeros datos obtenidos en un estudio prospectivo con pacientes con síndrome de Asherman (o con una cavidad uterina muy dañada) o que presentan atrofia endometrial (problemas durante el crecimiento del endometrio) sugieren que se puede mejorar el crecimiento endometrial y reducir el daño en el tejido mediante el trasplante de células madre procedentes de la médula ósea. Otros estudios han utilizado la inyección de células madre para vascularizar el tejido del ovario e intentar revertir el efecto que el envejecimiento prematuro del ovario pueda producir.
Por otra parte, nuestros investigadores están estudiando formas para el aislamiento y cultivo in vitro de células madre espermatogénicas con el objetivo de mejorar la producción de semen para aquellos pacientes con azoospermia.
