Receptividad endometrial
La interacción entre el embrión y la mucosa que recubre el interior del útero (el endometrio) es fundamental para lograr la implantación, el desarrollo de la placenta y, en última instancia, para conseguir un embarazo viable y un recién nacido. Esta interacción es un proceso complejo en el que todavía quedan cuestiones por comprender.
El momento exacto en el que se produce dicha interacción durante la ventana de implantación, que conllevará a que se produzca una sincronía entre embrión y endometrio, no había sido considerado hasta el momento como un factor crítico que influye en los resultados del tratamiento. Tanto las condiciones ambientales del laboratorio de FIV como el desarrollo embrionario, así como la gestión médica de la estimulación ovárica y la preparación endometrial, influyen en todo el proceso. El trabajo en este campo busca profundizar en el estudio fisiológico y patológico del proceso con el fin de obtener un bebé sano por transferencia embrionaria.
