As a researcher, his focus is the study of human sperm biology within the context of diagnostic and clinical applications including semen analysis, sperm training, acrosome reaction, sperm cryopreservation, antioxidant systems, DNA fragmentation, and sperm coagulation system. Dr Martínez-Soto published original articles in reproductive journals, wrote 5 book chapters about human male factor, and presented his work in national and international reproduction meetings. He serves as an Ad Hoc Reviewer for Fertility and Sterility, Human Fertility, Journal of Assisted Reproduction Genetics, Human Genetics, Medicina Reproductiva, Reproductive BioMedicine Online or Revista internacional de Andrologia.
He has been involved in teaching since 2004, lecturing in postgraduate courses. Presently he is one of the Coordinators of teaching at IVI RMA Murcia for the Human Reproduction Module of the Official Master’s of Biology and Technology of the Reproduction in mammals. He teaches in others Master’s degrees including Master’s in Biology and Technology in Human Assisted Reproduction (European University of Madrid), Online Masters degree in the Biotechnology of Human Assisted Reproduction and Embryology (University of Valencia), Masters Degree in Biotechnology of Assisted Human Reproduction (University of Valencia). Dr. Martinez-Soto he is an honorary Associate Professor at the Veterinary School, University of Murcia. He is member of normative analysis group from Spanish fertility Society (SEF)
