The clinical care of patients undergoing IVF continues to be an area of intense focus for investigators. This starts with the appropriate work up of patients and determining if areas such as the immune system, the microbiome, dietary factors, body mass characteristics, male factors, among many others, have an impact on the ultimate success and failure of the treatment.

This continues through treatment to determine the appropriate medications, ratio of medications, and supplements which should be given to maximize patient outcomes – many special circumstances will call for specific treatments in both stimulated and frozen IVF cycles. It is also important to explore the psychologic impact of the IVF process and discover a way to provide the pinnacle of care with minimal emotional impact.
