Areas of Investigation

Reproductive disorders

Long before cell biology and molecular genetics exploded onto the scene of infertility investigation, reproductive endocrine disorders have been a topic of much examination and exploration. Disorders of hypothalamic, pituitary function, and metabolic derangements contribute to this broad field and include common everyday disorders from thyroid disease and PCOS to infrequently encountered genetic mutations encoding for rare diseases. Fibroids and endometriosis are also associated with high morbidity.

Current investigation includes the search of molecular determinants of pathogenesis with the intent of developing targeted therapies.
