IVF laboratory

The quality of the embryology laboratory is truly to the greatest determinant of IVF success. For this reason, the scientific team at IVI RMA Global has dedicated significant time and resources to understanding the optimal culture conditions for preimplantation embryo development. This effort has been multifactorial, with multiple projects in time lapse microscopy, dynamic embryo culture, temperature regulation, culture media formulation, and oxygen tension.

Additional projects are now underway that are focused on using high powered tools to identify the messages sent between the embryo and the endometrium prior to implantation.
The overarching goal of these projects is an effort to:

  1. Recreate the in vivo environment in the IVF laboratory
  2. Understand the metabolic behavior of preimplantation embryos
  3. Facilitate the selection of embryos with the greatest reproductive potential.
