Biography

Adrija Kumar Datta MD, FRCOG, is the Lead Consultant in CREATE, Birmingham, UK. Dr Datta passed MBBS from the University of Calcutta in 1988 and obtained Masters (MD) from the same university in 1996. He became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MRCOG) in the year 2005 and Fellow (FRCOG) in 2019. He was an Ex-Assistant Professor in a Manipal College of Medical Science in Nepal 200-2002. He is a trainer for British Fertility Society and Ultrasound scan. He was a trainer for Basic Surgical Course in the UK.

Dr Datta joined the Board of the International Society for Mild Approaches in Assisted Reproduction (ISMAAR) as Research Coordinator. He is one of the Editors of a book which will be published soon under the banner of ISMAAR. He is a regular reviewer of many journals including Human Reproduction, Reproductive BioMedicine Online, British Medical Journal and Human Fertility. Recently he has joined the Editorial Board of Fertility Sterility Reviews.

Dr Datta has published 20 papers including 3 abstracts in peer-review journals of which, 7 were in Hi-indexed journals as the first author. He wrote 4 chapters. He presented (both oral and poster) in international conferences including ESHRE, ASRM, BFS (Fertility), RCOG congress. His area of special interest is ovarian stimulation, although he had original research in other fields of Reproductive Medicine.
