Miguel Gallardo Molina is the IVF Laboratory Director of Ginemed Lisbon. He is also responsible for the international gamete bank of Ginemed Portugal. Dr. Gallardo obtained his B.Sc. in Biotechnology from the University Rovira i Virgili in 2012. In 2013 he completed a M.Sc. in Human Reproduction by the University of Seville, and started his career as an embryologist in Ginemed clinics.
Miguel completed his doctoral thesis at the Seville Engineering School, cum laude, about the cryobiology of oocyte vitrification, producing research published in high impact journals and received the award for the best scientific article of the trimester in the Engineering department. During the Ph.D studies, he did a research stay in the University of Louvain, Brussels, with the GYNE Research Group headed by Prof. Amorim to conduct research on ovarian tissue vitrification.
He has a postgraduate course in statistics applied to healthcare at the Nova University of Lisbon and an associate data scientist certification in R Programming Language by DataCamp.
Dr. Gallardo is a senior embryologist certified by ASEBIR and ESHRE, and an specialist in Embryology and Human Reproduction by the Portuguese Biology Order. He serves as Secretary of the Clinical Embryology Section of the Portuguese Society of Reproductive Medicine, and member of the Cryobiology Interest Group in ASEBIR. He is a Lecturer in the Master’s Degree in Human Reproduction of Portugal’s Universidade Lusófona.
